JUT UPDYKE / FOUNDER & OPERATORI’m Jut. A cameraman, drone pilot, business owner, dad, and pet owner. Virginia has been home for more than a decade, and New Kent is where I’ve put down roots and built the Captured family of brands.
I started as a hunting guide in Kansas before traveling as a cameraman in the outdoor industry. Today, I bring that field experience and attention to detail to filming, agricultural drone work, deer herd analysis, and pet recovery.
Along the way, my work has been featured in North American Whitetail. But the part that matters most to me is the trust people place in us. As a father and pet owner, I understand how much the people and animals in our lives mean to us. When someone calls for help, that responsibility is personal.
Captured is growing into a team of people who share that mindset. We’re bringing together creative talent, experienced pilots, and people who care about this community. From the moments worth remembering to the urgent calls nobody wants to make, we want to be the team you’re glad you called.
Jeremy is Jut’s right-hand man across the Captured family of brands. He just happens to do it all left-handed. He brings hands-on technical skill, experienced piloting, and a knack for figuring things out to the work we do every day.
His understanding of drones starts well before takeoff. From assembly and disassembly to complete aircraft builds and troubleshooting, Jeremy knows the platforms from the inside out. That practical knowledge carries into the field, where he helps keep our drone operations moving across a wide range of aircraft and missions.
More recently, Jeremy has devoted considerable time to infrared operations, assisting with missing-pet searches, deer recovery, and deer herd analysis. His work also spans agricultural operations, media coverage, and mapping. He’s a trusted part of the team, with the versatility to move from one kind of mission to the next and the commitment to see the work through.
